I bet your wondering what this topic will bring. Scary huh?
Well, it’s actually sad and cute little story. And when I say small I mean it can fit into the palm of my hand, has long ears (or at least it will later), bounces pretty well, and is rumored to bring Easter eggs.
Can you guess what it is?
No, it’s not my sister. Good gravy, your not allowed to guess anymore. Anyhow, it’s a cute little bunny.
Tonight my husband was putting our dogs back into their kennel and heard a squeal. Truck Dude(my hubby) went looking for the source of the squeal and found that one of the dogs had a baby bunny in his mouth(the dog not the husband). So being the kind person my husband is, he saved the bunny and brought it into the house. After getting the little one all settled into a blanket we went back outside and searched for its den. Just in case the dogs had got ahold of any other baby bunnies. Thankfully we didn’t find any. I’m not sure if this is the good or bad, since bunnies normally are born in litters of four and five.
In any case, we turned out attention to the only one we did find. I’ve helped save a few bunnies before but never one this small. This little one doesnt even have it’s eyes open yet. Well we rushed off to Wal-mart to get the baby some baby’s milk (aka kitten milk).
When we returned home, my husband prepared the milk and he fed the little one, which was just too cute. Now the tiny baby is nestled under some baby blankets to keep it warm and sleeping in such a cute way.
Now I know that since this is a wild rabbit we won’t be able to keep it but I can still “awww” at it until time to release it. Of course, now I want a bunny I can keep (btw just for those that don’t know your not suppose to keep wild bunnies because it will drive them insane or at least thats what I’ve read).
So for those of you keeping a score card on our zoo, let me update it for you.
We have:
3 dogs
7 cats
2 snakes
mice(in a cage)
1 bunny
Which is added to the 2 dogs the in-laws have. Now all I need is a few fish, a bird or two and a pony. I’m teasing…I have enough animals as is.
Hope you have a great day.
P.S. Today is my daughter’s birthday. She is 14. Happy birthday sweetie, mommy loves you.

Poor bunny, and he’s so lucky you end up with him. And may I say that TD (Truck Dude) is an angel
.
Do you think the little guy (the bunny) will survive in the wild since you’re caring for him this early is in his life? Will he be able to fend for himself?
How are the slave drivers, eh I mean cats reacting to all of this?
Best of luck with him. It’s a “he” right?

The owners don’t know about the lil bunny. I’m sure if they did they’d be thinking “umm, lunch”.
Right now we arent sure if it’s a he or she. Hubby seems to think it’s a girl.
But so far so good.
