Why??

Tonight I was watching tv and saw that they are going to have ANOTHER reality show. When will this madness ever end?

I’m wondering what happened to the cute shows that make you laugh, i.e. Friends. What did these shows do that was so horrid they had to end (not that I’m huge fan of friends). I’m starting to think that watching tv is not meant for me. They first take off Buffy, now they add more reality shows..ohh the pain.

You might consider me odd but Americain Idol has always been on my AVOID list and my husband agrees with me too, which is a good thing. In my view, the only good thing that Americain Idol has done is give Paula Abdul a job.

Well I hope everyone else can find a good tv show they enjoy…best of luck if your anything like me and my husband.

I totally agree with you. There’s nothing “real” about any of the reality shows. (I’m assuming, because I refuse to watch any of them.)

I have to say, the current tv lineup is very helpful to someone who wants to avoid tv in favor of reading (or writing) a good book!

I don’t really watch tv anymore. Aside from the news and the Winter Olympics I can’t say I’m a big fan of anything. Except for CSI Las Vegas. Yes those reality shows are far from real. Why else would they need writer and editors? Reality “stars” have said that their situations where blown out of proportion. Some have lost jobs, I’m sure but most importantly they’ve lost some if not all of their dignity. *Sniff*

I agree..maybe one day they will bring back the good shows we all know and love. Or at the very least the formula that makes those wonderful shows.

That’s funny you should mention this. I was just talking about it with some friends. It seems that tv has taken a turn for the worst. The era of Seinfeld, Friends, etc etc… any good romantic comedies, sitcoms, and even quality dramas is at its end. Its been replaced by the obsession to watch fake reality. *shakes head*

I’d prefer to watch some fake impossible stuff anyday. I want it to trigger my emotions, my imagination. If I want reality, I’ll just go outside and live life, not explore it vicariously through obnoxious reality stars.

Ahem… yea. *steps off soap box*
