Hang in there, Haven. *hugs* I pretty much didn't write a word in one of my wips during the entire month of October. I did lots of thinking about them and cramming even more info into my brain about the writing process, but I didn't feel like I was making any progress. I managed to keep up my daily journal entries, which while not fiction, kept me in the practice of dumping something out on the page on command.

I don't think that the quantity of output is important, but I do find regular writing sessions most beneficial for me.

There's a great set of cheerleaders that hang out in the Live Chat room... there's usually someone around, it was great to see you there the other day again! I find those challenges to be really helpful even when I can convince myself I'm not in the mood to write.

*gets out her pom-poms and shakes 'em* I'm rootin' for you! I'm glad to hear your mood is lifting, enjoy what sunshine you can and take it easy!

Hi Haven

So sorry to hear that you've just not felt like writing lately. I know it's hard sometimes, and I go through times when I just don't feel like slogging away at it.

When you get back into your stride... why not try the next Seventy Days of Sweat? Despite the title, it's a much more gentle challenge than Nano, you can set your own modest goals and there's not such a relentless pressure. I've found it really helpful to keep me writing *and* enjoying the process.

Take care...

Love

I find this time of year very hard to write and concentrate and with health issues on top of everything else makes it doubly hard. I also go months without writing, but think about it and stories I'd love to just sit down and write.

I have no doubt you will be writing again and we are always here to cheer you on or a shoulder to cry on.

You are a wonderful person, Haven, and wishing you the very best.

I agree that the holidays may not help sometimes. I go weeks sometimes without writing, but don't beat yourself up for it. Setting attainable goals always helps me--go for it.

Thank you so much Dianna! Knowing I have supporting friends like you helps me more than you'd ever know! It never hurts to have cheerleaders!

Go for it! I know what you are going through, truly I do, that is why I have been so quiet of late. The holiday season doesn't help this particular situation at all. Is there anything I can do to help you with your goal? I am not a writer (aspiring or otherwise) but in this one area I have experience.
