So sorry to hear about the scary weather. Yesterday, my kids had a snow day. We only had 3 inches of snow, but there was a layer of ice on top that came down until late yesterday. Fortunately, the rock salt did the trick on the roads and they went back to school today.

Ah, but we do have two 60 pound Shar Peis who are afraid of anything that moves. Katy was whimpering and whining and Coty was crying. Yes, crying!

They always say that animals can take care of themselves if such emergencies arise, but I don't think so. The two dogs would probably go in circles, all confused on what they should do. And they aren't stupid, they are just big chickens!

Oh, DEAR! I would have needed to have been sedated! Thank God things turned out all right.

And as far as the cat on your lap...just be thankful you don't have a 150 pound Rottweiler that's afraid of thunder. I spent 45 minutes a few nights ago with him sitting on my feet (because he can't get more than just the front part of his body onto my lap) and he's trembling like Scooby-Doo in a haunted mansion.

The things we do for our animals. :)
