Sings "I’m so happy"

One might wonder what would make me so happy while busy with a very odd, unwanted move but I’ve found something to sing about.
Quick backstory:
A few months back my laptop started having major issues with the power cord area on the motherboard…I know yuck. Well after a few temp fixes it finally gave up and broke completely. I was heartbroken. As a huge fan of pc’s my laptop was/is my baby. Thankfully I didn’t have to go without internet, since I still have my older than dirt desktop. The bad thing about my laptop having issues is it crashed with my book on it. With the tad bit of good luck I do have I just couldn’t get to two chapters.
Back to present time:
The other day while renting a movie I teased with the clerk lady that I wanted to borrow her pc for a day. She asked why and I told her about what happened with ours. She said to bring in my battery and she would charge it for me and woohoo it charged. More importantly I reconnected the laptop (I took it all apart inside to ensure nothing would break) and was able to save my last two chapters to disk.
So as you can see I’m giddy with joy. I’m so excited!! Even though I still wish my laptop was working and all that I’m just glad to finally have my missing chapters. Now I have no excuse not to work on my novel, which I’m sure the other ladies I chat with will be overjoyed about.
Moving news:
The house is finally put up for sale. We will be moving in about two weeks (guessing). Our moving sale went well but we still have tons of things to find new homes for. I know one thing, I’ll be happy when this whole thing is finished. On the bright side of this I’ve put MY real bed up for the first time in over four years. All this time it had been in storage and now it’s standing in all it’s glory (it’s a canopy and I love this bed). While putting the tile in the spare room we took out the in-laws old fullsize bed and they said I could put mine up (this way the movers will pack it).
So I suppose this week is full of good news…lets just hope it keeps going this way.
Reading: Courting Claudia by Robyn DeHart, so far it’s like she’s writing about me. Love this book.

I had a laptop die a few months ago – what a terrible feeling!
I ended up sending mine off to have the mb replaced, I just couldn’t stand the guilt of having it sitting there broken. Spent more on the mb then I did for the laptop (got it used) but at least the guilt went away!

A new motherboard for mine is $500 bucks from HP. All that just to fix the power area inside. It’s a shame they had to mold the power supply onto the motherboard.
As for replacing the motherboard, I can do that myself. I’ve had my laptop apart so many times I think I could do it with my eyes closed.
But in any case, I’m still basking in the glow of seeing the screen come on and able to view my chapters again. Ok I’m easy to please hehe.

That’s great news, Haven! I’m glad that you could finally get hold of those two last chapters
No more excuses
I hope you’re week will continue to be this good. Hey, maybe you should play the lottery!? *g*

hehe Emily, it’s a shame to say but today wasn’t as good. It wasn’t bad by no means but I’ve had better. It was hot outside and working the moving sale I was burning up. Tonight after my shower I finally felt human again. Before it was like I was this icky, stinky, glob of sweat..can we say ewwww!! In any case, I’m human again yayy.
