Night Owls

If you’ve ever checked the time I actually post these things you might notice that more often than not they are very late at night. That’s because I’m a night owl.
You may wonder what this means well here ya go: A person who sleeps during the day only to be up all night.
Next question is why do I do this. There are actually a few reasons. Never mind the fact that it is so much more peaceful at night. No phone calls, no dinner to make, no house work to do…nothing. Just time to relax. Granted now that we live with the in-laws they totally don’t understand the “night-owl” thing so I’m suppose to get up early. Ok, sad to say, my early is noon. For me the sun does not rise before this time.
Before living with the in-laws I truly saw no point to doing the whole, up with the sun thing. My kids would be up and off to school…I’d come home and go to bed. About 45 minutes before I had to go get them, I’d get up. This really worked for me. Mostly because my illness left me drained of energy and I was able to keep up with two very hyper children.
And I don’t know why–well I sorta do but that’s very personal and I aint tellin–but I’ve always slept better during the day. I don’t toss-n-turn, lay there wondering about events of the next day or things that might have happened that day. I lay down and go to sleep. And just for those that might think I’m just plain ole batty, my doctor has said that this is actually better for me. I happen to agree since many of the meds I take say in bold letters “NO SUN”.
So now I’m sitting here telling you about why I’m still up when most typical people are either still in bed or just begining their day. Well, I gotta tell ya, while you were sleeping I was able to get some much needed work done–graphic design (notice the revamp of this blog??) and a few other things.
BTW on the plus side, I have more to talk about with my husband than what I saw on the soaps, because I don’t watch them.
Well, it’s just about my bedtime. Hope you rested well, I know I will.

Here’s another night owl. I agree that it’s easier to get things done late at night. That’s usually when I feel inspired as well.
Unfortunately I can’t indulge my night owl as much as I’d like since I have to get up by 7.30am to make it for work. (Trust me, I push it as far as possible, I skip make-up to give myself another 10 mins in bed *lol*)
It doesn’t work out so well though since I still can’t get into bed until usually around 1am, sometimes 2am.. and I never get enough sleep. But I’m just physically unable to go to bed at 10pm!
So I know where you’re coming from.

Ps Your new design looks awesome! Can you see my face green with envy?

You know Emmie, I can design something for you. If there is one thing I’m good at it’s designing for blogs. This design will be a bit different on my private site, but this is close.
BTW, it’s not fully done. I still need to add the footer but hey it was bedtime haha.
Hope you have a great day.

You know, I might actually take you up on that offer *lol* I keep thinking that I’m going to do it myself, but time seems to be a bit of an issue for me as of late. (Or well, as of the past 2 years, but who’s counting?!)
In any case, this design looks really great. I’ll have a look at your site as well.

I’m liking this look! I’m partial to burgundy and pink to be honest so you bet I’m diggin’ what you’ve done here.
I’m an early bird as you know, I gotta be up by 6:00am since I work an 8-5 shift. I’m usually in bed by 9pm, now that I’m writing my book in earnest I just might get up earlier than 6am to meet my daily goal…but we’ll see.
Kudos, Haven it looks great!

I’m an early bird – or I was before kids messed up my tie clock. Now I squeeze in as much as I can, whenever I can with not attention to time unless one of them has to be somewhere!
