Good-bye Love

I’m sure you’ve heard the song..that is if you listen to country music but I adore the song Goodbye Time by Blake Shelton. I know it’s a real sad song but listen to the words. It talks about falling out of love.

Last night my husband and I talked about this..not that we have this issue but I’m an odd sort and ask a bunch of goofy questions. If I could get away with it I’d want to know the answer to everything.

Anyhow back to the topic. Have you ever fallen out of love with someone or have some claim they no longer loved you, even though nothing was wrong?

I’ve fallen out of love with my ex-husband. How do I know this? Well, I got to the point where I just couldn’t cry when we fought or he threatened to leave me. I was finished with the emotional attachment to him and the whole relationship. In any case, the song Goodbye Time talks about nothing really going wrong just no longer connecting.

So, what are your thoughts, feelings or opinion on this? Can you fall out of love with someone or do you just have enough and ignore those emotions so it’s easier to move on?

Have a good one everyone. I’m in the middle of moving, which if you’ve read this blog lately you are well aware of. Anyhow, I’m hoping to post one more time before we move and then I’ll be posting from the New Orleans area.

Yes, I do think you can fall out of love with someone. Usually after being put through the emotional wringer, the bad feelings outweigh the good and the thought of them not being in your life anymore just doesn’t hurt. It may not mean you don’t still love them on some level, you’re just not ‘in love’ anymore, and they can go their separate way without causing anymore damage to you.

That’s how I was with my first husband. I had had so much that anything more just didn’t bother me anymore.

But unlike the song, things did NOT end smoothly. I think thats a myth lol.
