From The Great Beyond

Yesterday my husband and I went to dig in our storage for the last few boxes we haven’t rummaged through. We are getting all the un-needed items to give away to Katrina victims. There is actually some good stuff in there, I can see why we own it haha. But thankfully I was able to talk my husband into giving away his “fashionable” Martha S. dishes. (sorry they don’t go with my full place-setting of 8 dishes lol). Anyhow as we go through some of these boxes my husband finds few puzzle pieces at the bottom and hands them to me. I haven’t a clue what to do with them so I set them aside and go about what I was doing. (small note I collect Thomas Kinkad puzzles and actually frame them, too poor to get the real thing)

After finishing up my husband picks up these 8 or so pieces and asks me what to do with them. Well heck, I honestly don’t have a clue. I’m not sure which puzzle they go to, as there were about 5 puzzles in different bags/boxes. So as I get into the truck, he grabs my purse and puts them in the side pocket. Here I am watching this and thinking “this is odd, puzzle pieces in my purse”.

So that got me to thinking, scary thought I know, what is the strangest or oddest thing you’ve put or have in your purse/wallet? And is it still there?…Mine is haha.

The strangest thing I’ve had in my purse. Hmmm.

Tabs from soda cans. We save them and donate them to the Ronald McDonald House. I don’t know for sure if I have any in my purse at the moment - but odds are good.

For me I guess it’s wrappers. I always stick the wrapper from gum or pieces of candy in my pockets. I’m usually not around the trash so I shove them in my pockets and forget about them.

So nice of you to be finding things for Karina victims.

My purse collects hair clips. They’re not odd I know, but it seems by the end of the week I’ve collected 8 to 10 of them, pretty much filling up my purse. The problem is my long hair is in my way anytime but when I’m driving… but when I’m driving, the hair clips bother me trapped between my head and the headrest. So, into the purse they go.
At least I always know where to find one!

Oh wow, let’s see… Socks and mens underwear. I did laundry one day an apparently some fell off the laundry bag in the back seat of my car. So one day I had to give some coworkers a ride and I saw them so I panicked and stuffed them in my purse.

I recently took out a ceramic spoon catcher, for tea more than cooking.

I always end up with my daughter’s trash, and last week I ended up with her and her 2 friends chewed up gum–wrapped, but still.

It was in there for a couple of days, too, before I remembered to throw it away.

    Yuck.

I also have long hair and have tons of hair-things. The strange thing is I dont have any of them in my purse. OH I know, its cause the puzzle pieces, which are still there, take up too much room (note to self take them out soon). I suppose thats what happens when you only carry small purses (grandma bags arent my style).

Thank you all for your replies.

Hope you have a great day.
