I'm just laughing my pants off here. I too blush furiously, I suppose I'm kinda shy. Are we going to change RI's name to the Blushingly Inclined?
LOL

Isabel

Haven, I actually incorporated the blushing in my first heroine *lol* She doesn't blush constantly like I do, but when she gets embarrassed (which is fairly often since she's shy) and she has fair skin (like I do) which usually means you blush easily. :)

Lots and lots of make-up really do help though, even if just a bit *lol* I just can't ever be bothered to put it on.

I wonder what my grandmother would think. I don't actually know. I think she's a lot naughtier than I'd ever consider *lol* Not that I think she reads romance novels, but I don't know if she'd be all that shocked if she were to.

Emily

Nahh, don't worry Emily. Those booksignings get sooo hot with all the people running around that its almost natural to see all the authors and fans a bit flushed. I'm sure my face was a nice shade of pink and I wasn't blushing lol.

I think it's cute that you blush though. Have you thought of including that into your novel? Have a 2nd charater that does nothing but blush...at everything hehe...that'd be cute I think.

Faith, glad you dropped by. My grandmother would also be one to turn a bright shade of red if she were to read my work as well. I do think that for that generation it is very different. I mean their idea of courting was the boy asking the girls father if it was ok to hold her hand while watching a movie. And for some it was even less contact. My grandmother actually once said that some Christian romances were a bit too sexual for her. Don't worry I will never ask her to read my work..manly for fear she might have a heart attack.

All I can say is it's a good thing we don't write for a certain age group but as a general public.

Happy Writing,

That's quite funny, Haven.

Unfortunately, I would have blushed too. Not because I'd be embarrassed, but simply because I blush. All the time. For no reason whatsoever. (It's really quite horrible... Someone will look at me and ask a question, I'll blush.)

If I would ever manage to get published I guess I had better wear a LOT of make-up to cover the blushing or they'll think I'm crazy *lol*

Emily

It seems that this is more common in the older generation. If my grandmother read some of the novels and e-books I write, she'd be a bright shade of scarlet--permanently! LOL!
